Site Size	35 acres house CVT's 250,000 sq. ft., which includes a 40,000 sq. ft. waste transfer center, a 210,000 sq. ft. processing facility, administrative offices and the operations maintenance center.
Description	CVT is permitted to process 6,000 tons of solid waste, mixed recyclables, and green waste per day. According to industry information, CVT operates one of the largest material recovery facilities by volume in the U.S.
Waste Stream	The waste stream processed at the CVT facility is compiled from many Southern California jurisdictions, including municipalities, commercial haulers, and public customers. CVT also processes segregated recyclable material from a variety of other sources.

Site Size	7 acres house IRMRF's 26,450 sq. ft. facility, which includes a waste transfer center, a processing facility, administrative offices, and an operations maintenance center.
Description	IRMRF is permitted to process 1950 tons of solid waste, recyclables, and green waste per day.
Waste Stream	The "waste stream" processed at the IRMRF is compiled from the Inland Empire including municipalities, commercial haulers, and public customers.

The CVT and Inland Regional MRFs provide an alternative to the disposal of construction and demolition debris in landfills.  We are leading the way by finding innovative ways to recycle and convert these otherwise useless materials into valuable resources.  The possibilities are endless. This approach to waste management allows us to offer our customers competitive prices for any size job.

Commitment to Our Neighbors
A street sweeper is deployed in and around our facility to make certain that the surrounding neighborhood is kept clean. Our 24-hour security guards protect our facility and patrol the surrounding areas. They also watch for fallen/abandoned debris and report neighborhood concerns.

Transfer Station
Waste is compacted to minimize cost and environmental impacts and to improve efficiencies. Then it is transported to local landfills.

Public Disposal Area
The public has its own dumping area separate from the commercial trash trucks. Load inspectors direct the public to the dumping area intended for their specific commodity. This helps maximize diversion, including good material which is processed separately on the bulky item line.

Green Waste Processing
Processed material is primarily used by various landfills as alternate daily cover. It is also used for fuel and compost.

Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) Processing
MSW is considered 'positive sorting', which entails pulling recyclables out of the waste stream.

Commingled Residential Curbside Processing
Commingled waste is sorted with a 'negative' sorting concept, which is to remove the trash and run the clean commodity off the end of the lines.

Baling
Clean materials are baled by commodity type for shipment.  A bale of aluminum cans weighs approximately 1500 pounds.

Shipping and Receiving
Each commodity is loaded into separate sea vans. The average sea van holds approximately 23 tons per load. The average turn around on all commodities is 24 hours.
